According to the results of soil traps sampling in the characteristic biotopes of the vicinity of the resort Goryachinsk, the composition and biotopic distribution of herpethobiont arthropods is considered. The area is interesting outlets of thermal waters and the presence of a number of aquatic and terrestrial relics. The works were carried out in 2016-2017. The following biotopes were investigated: dry meadow with a noticeable anthropogenic influence, mixed hummock forest, rhododendron pine forest, low grass flooded forest, flood plain mixed forest, swamp with shrubs. The dominance of the small forest red ant, Formica polyctena Först, is noted in forest biotopes, which suppresses the number of other insects and arachnids, with the exception of myrmecophilic staphylinid Zyras humeralis (Grav.). Ground beetles in these biotopes are either absent or presented individually, their dynamic density does not exceed 1.5 specimens per 10 trap-days. On a dry meadow, 7 species of ground beetles were noted; their numbers varied over the years, but did not exceed 3.5 specimens per 10 trap-days. The greatest diversity of herpetobiont arthropods is recorded in a swamp, where arachnids, ground beetles, staphylinids and weevils dominate in conditions of high humidity. There are recorded 12 species of ground beetles, representatives of the marsh and forest-marsh ecological groups. Most of the species are widespread in the Palaearctic, Trechus rivularis (Gyll.) and Pterostichus kutensis (Popp.) are representatives of the central and eastern palaearctic distributional patterns. The number of ground beetles here remained steadily in high density and ranged from 16.6 to 21.0 specimens per 10 trap per days. Ground beetle Pterostichus kutensis Popp. first time noted for the fauna of Buryatia, its taxonomic position, synonymy and distribution are discussed.
