Abstract

The botanical characteristics of peats from agricultural zone of the Tyumen region are presented. The peatbog at peat deposit of Tarmansky is a typical for near taiga zone and peatbog at peat deposit of Borovoe is characteristic for northern forest-steppe. They differ on hydro-geological conditions that defines distinction on specific structure and decomposition degree a little. On the first deposit hypnum mosses, sedges and reeds prevail, on the second – a sedges and reeds predominate. The average decomposition degree on the deposit of Borovoe is above 39 % more, than on Tarmansky. The peat structure at the deposit of Borovoe essentially differ both within one kind of peat and along the spreading of a peat deposit while on deposit of Tarmansky the species composition is relatively homogenous.
