Abstract
There was shown a correspondence of the actual and expected number of symmetric and asymmetric types of individuals (in accordance with Astaurov’s principle of fluctuating phenotypic variation) in a model of bilateral counting traits on the basis of randomness principle. The prevalence of actual number of symmetric individuals over the theoretically expected one has been discovered in the natural populations of three arthropods species.
