Abstract

The studies on the musk deer have been carried out on the territory of the Jankan – Tunkuringa ridges. There have been considered the factors that limit the population of the given species in this mountain chain. The peculiarities of the factor influence and level of their effect have been revealed after the studies performed. It has been found that forest fires as well as disafforestation, where animals entirely disappeared over the decades, have the most harm for the musk population. The loss in musk deer in the forest fires has been defined.
