Long-term analysis of main trophic links dynamics in the Lake Baikal pelagic zone

Abstract
The paper presents an analysis of the phytoplankton and zooplankton long-term dynamics in Lake Baikal in comparison with the omul yields. It is shown they demonstrates conjugate rhythms. The yields of omul were found to be maximal, on the local scale, in years succeed phytoplankton high-productive years. As well the 60–65- year long omul cycles similar to oceanic fishes was revealed.
