Rotifer fauna of potamoplankton in Lake Baikal tributaries

Abstract
Rotifer fauna of riverine plankton has been studied in the Baikal region. Species of a phytophilous complex prevail, which is represented by over 70 % of the total rotifer diversity. Communities with the dominance of Euchlanis dilatata and other optional planktonts are formed in the majority of tributaries. The development of euplanktonic complex has been recorded only in the Selenga River.
