Serological Variety of Streptococcus pneumoniae Strains among Children in the Organized Groups in the Сity of Irkutsk

Abstract
The article presents the results of a survey of children aged 2 to 5 years in the day nurseries of the city of Irkutsk. The Streptococcus pneumoniae carrier rate among them was 17,1 %. Nine different serotypes were detected among these carriers with prevailed serotypes 6 A/B/C (40,0 %) and 19 F (12,0 %). The strains not included in the vaccine used were 20 %. It is shown that the pneumococcal conjugate vaccine PCV-7/13 covers from 76 % to 80,0 % of all identified serotypes. The proportion of resistant strains prevailed among the capsule forms which forms a part of PCV.
