Effect of Carbonyl Cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone (СССР) on Level of Hsp104p Synthesis and Thermotoler-ance in the Yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae Depending on the Type of Energy Metabolism

Abstract

Studied the effect of protonophore CCCP on level of Hsp104p synthesis, development thermotolerance and ROS production in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. It is shown that short-term treatment of the CCCP yeast cells using the type of fermentation metabolism, accompanied Hsp104p synthesis and the development of resistance to subsequent stringent thermal shock. However, in the case of adding the agent to the cells using the type of oxidative metabolism was observed inhibition of Hsp104p synthesis and yeast thermotolerance. Not found a clear correlation between the ability to induce ROS production and the expression of fusion Hsp104p by the CCCP.
