Abstract

The possibility of activating programmed cell death in suspension culture of winter wheat with low temperatures (4 и 8 ºС) and temperature subzero (-8 ºС) has been investigated. It has been shown, that treatment with the temperature 8 °С promoted to forming of adaptation mechanisms, whereas the temperature 4 ºС led to cell death in suspension culture, which has been increased after treatment with the temperature below zero. It has been established, that process of death has been accompanied by protoplast condensation, decreasing of respiration activity and DNA fragmentation.
