The article deals with the problems of creation of artificial soils (technozems) on the surface of the dumps formed as a result of coal mining. It was found that in the course of creation of technozems by piling of preliminarily removed fertile soil layer (PRFSL) the degradation of agrophysical and agrochemical properties occurred in PRFSL. For effective rehabilitation of the lands in question the reclamative stage for technozems development is necessary. At this stage the agrotechnical measures directed to rehabilitation of favorable indices of agrophysical and humus state status in the piled layer should be implemented. Only after carrying out reclamative stage the plots under rehabilitation can be effectively used in agriculture.
