Mammalian communities of the Maloye More Strait (Lake Baikal)

Abstract
The article presents the long-term data on changes of mammalian fauna and communities on islands of the Maloye More Strait (Lake Baikal). A circulation of species on the islands is discussed also. Main factors affecting the existence of endemic to Baikal and rare species – Olkhon mountain vole Alticola olchonensis are reviewed.
