Research of sensory acoustical system of baikal cottoid fishes (Cottoidei) with methods of electronic microscopy

Abstract
By means of scanning and transmission electron microscopy, specific features of secretion of otoconials by saccular epithelium of Paracottus knerii. It is supposed that the group arrangement of otocinia in a saccular auditory system is a characteristic feature of an otolith apparatus of bentic inhabitants of a coastal zone of lake Baikal. Results obtained touching saccular macula, in the long term, can provide a great deal of information for studying principles
of formation, and adaptive differentiation of various forms of otoliths.
