The Periodicity of Long-Term Population Dynamics of Water Vole Arvicola terrestris L.

Abstract
Long-term dynamics of the water vole population in different landscapes was studied. It is shown that the population dynamics of the water vole has harmonic components forming a complex curve. Presentation of the same material on the frequency scale (spectral analisys) reveals the cycle length and the power of periodic components. For spectral analisys can be used both the data on animal number and the information on fur purchases.
