The results of the study of lead, cadmium, and arsenic contamination of soils in residential areas and in country sites are reported in the article. Vector maps are lead and cadmium soil contamination in Svirsk, maps are created using the method of geographic information systems (GIS). The level of lead contamination of soils is characterized as dangerous in the residential areas. The levels of cadmium and arsenic contamination of soils are dangerous and extremely dangerous there. The levels of cadmium and arsenic contamination of soils are dangerous in country sites. Soils in country sites are clean from lead contamination. Lead, cadmium and arsenic contained in soils of the area may be accumulated in tubers of the plant. The study revealed high concentrations of heavy metals and arsenic in edible parts of potatoes grown on country sites of Svirsk city.
