Principles of the altitude differentiation of Carabid fauna (Coleoptera, Carabidae) in the Northern slope of Khamar-Daban mountain ridge

Abstract
Carabid species in the Northern slope of Khamar-Daban mountain ridge are organized into three groups on the basis of their connections with vertical zones: alpine species, montane species, lowland species. Taxonomic and ecological diversity are decreased with altitude accordingly with decreasing of ecological niches. Most of endemiс species are inhabitants of alpine zone.
