Studying climatic-forced vegetation dynamics: prerequisites, approaches and prospects
Author(s)

Abstract
The current situation in the studies of climatically induced vegetation dynamics is briefly overviewed. The low level of the publication activity in this topic among Russian researches comparing to the international scientific society is emphasized. Prerequisites for the climatogenic vegetation dynamics are noted. Methodological obstacles when approaches for studies have to be chosen and carried out are considered. The fuzzy sets theory has been recognized as applicable for studies of vegetation dynamics. The concept of “hysteresis” is being suggested to be introduced in the vegetation science. Both visible and hidden changes in vegetation forced by the climatic impacts are noticed.
