A taxonomic list of macroalgae in the near-shore zone of Bol’shye Koty and Listvenichny Bays (Southern Baikal)

Abstract
A list of macroalgae from Bol’shye Koty and Listvenichny bays is presented based on original research and published data. The list includes information on the distribution of 42 algal species, 2 of them, Hydrurus foetidus (Vill.) Kirchn., Spirogyra sp. ster., were found in Bol’shye Koty Bay for the first time. Some aspects of biogeography of several species and dynamics of benthic communities are described.
