Author presented material, which was collected in Baikalsk town in 2011, in this paper. This town is located in taiga zone of Southern Cisbaikalia. Author collected ants in twenty-one quasi-natural biotopes, which modified human, in the uptown zone and in the recreation zone of Baikalsk town. The nine species of the local fauna were found in the territory of Baikalsk town. The transpalaearctic species dominate in the town (55,6 %). We discovered Lasius niger L., Formica fusca L. in the uptown zone and Myrmica ruginodis Nyl., M. rubra L., Formica fusca L., F. aquilonia Yarr., F. sanguinea Latr., F. lugubris Zetter., F. polyctena Först., Lasius niger L., L. platythorax Seif. in the recreation zone. L. niger L. is the dominant species of Baikalsk town. This species comprised 54,4 % of all discovered nests.
